Tiruppavai belongs to the Pavai genre of songs, a unique tradition sung in the context of the Pavai vow observed throughout the month of Dhanurmasamu. Sri Vaishnavas sing these stanzas every day of the year in the temple as well as in their homes. This practice assumes special significance during Dhanurmasamu. Each day of this month gets its name from one of the thirty verses. Sri ANDAL is the Quintescence incarnation of Sri BHUMI DEVI the Divine Consort of SRIMAN NARAYANA,who took birth on this earth to liberate suffering human beings from worldly bondage. She sang thirty sweet songs containing the cardinal principles ofSriVaishnava Dharma during the month of Dhanurmasamu. Elders in the family pass on the tradition of Tiruppavai to young children by recitation and rote practice. However with changing times and busy life style, elders are not able to devote that time to pass on the tradition of Tiruppavai on to young children. In this application 30 pasurams can be accessed individually for learning and practice. All the pasurams are given with sing-along Telugu lyrics for the audience to practice. Complete recital of all 30 pasurams is also provided for elders to listen and experience divine anugraham of Aandal matha. Sri Aandal Tiruvadigale Saranam.
